The Preservation Education Institute is a division of Historic Windsor, Inc. (HWI).  HWI was formed in 1971 when a group of citizens joined together to prevent the demolition of Windsor House which continues to be our headquarters 34 years later. HWI established the Vermont State Craft Center (now independently managed) at Windsor House in 1975 and the Preservation Education Institute in 1982.
